Installation Guide

This guide will walk you through the setup process. After downloading OITurbo using the Get OITurbo link above, you will want to navigate to the folder where you saved oiturbo.exe and double click on it. When you open oiturbo.exe, you will see the dialog below.

Click OK to begin the setup process. Now you will see the following window.

Read the Terms of Service and then click Yes to signify that you agree with the Terms of Service. Next you will be asked for the location to install OITurbo to.

Under most cases, the already supplied value will be sufficient. If you would like to change the location, then click the Browse button and choose a different location. Click Next to view the screen below.

You may choose to install the performance optimizations that will help accelerate e-mail and FTP file transfers. If you choose No, then e-mail and FTP file transfers will not be accelerated. Make your selection and then click Next.

You may choose to install the firewall component of OITurbo. If you are already running a firewall product, such as Norton Internet Security, McAfee Internet Security Suite, Norton Personal Firewall, or McAfee Personal Firewall, then choose No. Click Next.

If you selected "Yes, use OITurbo's Performance Optimizations" above, then you will be asked to restart your computer. Choose to restart your computer and then click OK. Once your computer restarts, the installation program will continue. If you selected "No, do not use OITurbo's Performance Optimizations", then you will not see this screen and the installation will continue.

If you chose to install the OITurbo Performance Optimizations, then you will see this screen after your computer has restarted. Click Next to install the necessary components for the optimizations.

Once the optimization components have been installed (if selected), then the installation process will continue. Click Next.

You will want to choose the option "Dial-up Networking" and click Next.

The installation of OITurbo program files on to your computer has completed. Click Next to continue.

If you are not connected to the Internet, then please do so now. Once you are connected, click the OK button to open up your web browser to the activation page.

Your account is now being activated. When the web browser opens up, you may see a screen confirming your request to activate OITurbo. If you confirm the request, then the screen above will be displayed.

Your OITurbo product is now activated. Please wait a few seconds while OITurbo redirects your web browser to an installation complete web page.

If you would like to see some of the capabilities of OITurbo, then choose the Start Test link. Otherwise, just choose Close to close the web browser window.

Now OITurbo is installed and accelerating your Internet experience. You may now start browsing the web at greater speeds.
